For me it's always felt important to stay as healthy as possible despite the fact that I have tended to eat too much, have a very sweet tooth and exercise too little :(
In spite of that I've always tried to limit the amount of processed food that we eat (apart from chocolate and desserts) and we've always used supplements of some kind to support health and well-being.
As I've aged though, I've found that it was time to start focusing a lot more on what I am putting into my body and also seen first hand how easy it is to gain weight and how difficult it is to lose it so moderation is finally becoming my key word!
In my blog and eventually in my newsletter, I'm planning to share some of the learning and tips that I have picked up over the years and hope that you will join me on this journey and that some of my waffling will be of use to you to save you time and energy on your own journey :)
Some years ago I managed to lose a lot of weight and while that was really good for me body wise and I actually went through a phase where I enjoyed exercise (until the classes closed for the Christmas break for 3 weeks and then were full to bursting during January..) I didn't manage to maintain that but I also found that my face developed wrinkles where the fat had disappeared from and even when I gained weight back, the wrinkles didn't go which made me a bit afraid to lose the weight again.
I'm on that journey now however and having not exercised for some time, I decided to try following someone on YouTube and exercising at home; with little space and no equipment. I found a really great age-appropriate mother and daughter duo who make exercise fun and have a standing and sitting version of many of their routines. They go by Yes2Next on YouTube and have a lot of different routines with different levels of exercise from beginner to intermediate. It gives me a chance to change up my exercise routine and I've found that encourages me to keep going with it more regularly though I still have some weeks where I am more consistent than others (small steps are key for me).
I follow natural wellness as much as possible because I really like the way that my body reacts to fewer chemicals and processed foods. I have more energy, my skin feels better, I sleep better and I have more motivation to do the things I want to do.
